THE STORY OF WILLOW CREEK GARDENS

Adam Andrews, with his sister Jennifer Cleveland, owned Willow Creek Design and Landscape. Adam was born in Houston then moved to the Big Country in 1974. Adam is a graduate of Abilene High and also a graduate of Midwestern State University.

While working his way through college, he worked at and became manager of the Wolfe Nursery in Wichita Falls. This gained him not only valuable management experiece, but an intense interest in plant life. In 1998 Adam and his sister Jennifer, also a former Wolfe employee and a Master Gardener, formed Willow Creek Design and Landscape. Amber Jacobson joined the team in 1999 and ran the maintenance and landscape crew.

In 2010, with their retail Nursery experience in mind, when the former Greenbelt Gardens Nursery became available, Adam and Jennifer purchased the business and renamed it Willow Creek Gardens.

In 2013, after fighting cancer for 15 months, Jennifer lost her battle. Adam's focus then became the garden center and asked Amber to join him. Adam and Amber married in May of 2014.

With Adam's experiences and Amber's love of plants and the outdoors, they became an unstoppable team. Amber's eye for plant arrangements, knowledge of tropicals and landscaping, combined well with Adam's retail experience and landscape expertise. Their joining has made Willow Creek Gardens a premier garden center for the Big Country.

Adam and Amber are very active in the plant community. Willow Creek Gardens is a member of TNLA (Texas Nursery and Landscape Association). Adam is a certified nursery professional, and both attend yearly plant expos.

They share their knowledge through workshops, seminars, and community speaking engagements. You can listsen to Adam and Amber on their radio show 'Landscaping in the Big Country with Adam Andrews' on KZQQ 1560am, every Saturday at noon.
